Webinar “Traces of the past: an approach from photogrammetry to reveal the spatiality in the Inca centers of Chinchaysuyu”

Webinar “Traces of the past: an approach from photogrammetry to reveal the spatiality in the Inca centers of Chinchaysuyu”

The spatial configuration of an Inca imperial center reflects the articulation and control strategies of the groups annexed to the Tawantinsuyu. Our research addresses the management of space in the Inca sites of Uquira and Piura from the analysis of aerial photographs and recognition with RPAs. The applied method reveals the superposition of the urban patterns that make up the final layout of these archaeological settlements. The results allow us to understand the transformation processes of Uquira and Piura, and to reevaluate the current interpretations of their spatial arrangements.
